Buying A Kiln

Considerations:

Design (shape, bricks/wall thickness, elements/channels bottom, temperature, controller, removable rings or not, metal encasing)

Brand

Cost - comparative prices

Shipping and distance (shipping included from Vendor?)

Plugging it in (breaker or dryer plug in)

Start up – test fire to burn off elements

Programming controller

Maintenance – sitter, element heat up, electrical parts

Researching - what do others users have to say about the current product you are considering; how it holds up and is working for them
(*Note: Be aware that some manufacturers have not maintained the quality that their kilns once had)
